Refund policy
We have a 5-day return policy, which means you have 5 days after receiving your item to request a return. We reserve the right to refuse a return if the request is not made due to a condition that inhibits the purchaser's ability to use the product as designed. Discoloration of soy wax when used with fragrances that include vanillin is considered a natural and normal condition and will not be approved as a reason for a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it in. Not burned, melted or otherwise used, with original product labels, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please forward all product damages directly to us and send photos to somerscents@outlook.com. Products damaged while in possession of the purchaser are not eligible for replacement or refund and will be the purchaser's financial responsibility to replace. Somerscents reserves the right to cancel an order due to seasonality and probability of product meltdown in shipping during hot summer months if deemed reasonable by Somerscents. Somerscents recognizes that shipping product to hot climates during hot times of the year will likely result in a damaged product and will make every effort deemed financially reasonable to use materials in packaging designed to keep product safe during shipping. (i.e. ordering product to places such as Arizona and/or Texas during August will likely result in a damaged product and will possibly result in cancellation of an order if Somerscents has reason to believe due to weather forecasting that the product will not arrive in it's originally intended condition). Lightly scuffed, scratched or any other normal wear to the container or label of the product that is characteristic of contact with shipping materials will not be accepted as "damage" as there is no remedy to widely available shipping materials coming into contact with the product. Somerscents will take great care to package material in a manner that offers the most protection readily available to Somerscents to the product during shipping as it relates to contents of each individual order. Somerscents has a process in place to critically inspect products prior to shipping. "Wet spots" or areas of a candle container where wax pulls away from the container is not damage and is normal with shipping in cold climates. The product will correct itself as it melts and will not reappear as long as the room the product is kept in is kept at what is considered "room temperature" or 72 degrees F.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. A discounted product is considered an "as is" sale.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. As a default and unless explicitly expressed by Somerscents, return shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Refunds will not be issued if product is returned to Somerscents in a manner that indicates or implies customer use or tampering.
